Activity 1: Blog Bling

I would incorporate this video in my classroom as a review of telling time. My students have covered this skill before, but it just doesn't "stick!" I think the song would help them as we try to remember which is the minute hand and which is the hour hand. I would probably use this as a warm-up activity several days in a row. Movement helps to focus them first thing, and the song will hopefully stay in their heads as we practice.

  1. ...the daily puppy. Very funny. I love your telling time video. Wouldn't it be great to recommend watching it to kids who need some extra repetition? I think your kiddos would get a kick out of being assigned, "go home and look at the class blog and watch the time video again" Great work, Julie!

  2. Julie,

I love the clock video. I can see how this would be benenficial for younger students. It's very catchy and a fun way to learn time.

  3. Good job embedding your video right onto your blog! It looks great! I could even play this to my 7th graders in Spanish class. Sometimes they don't know how to read analog clocks in English, which makes it difficult for them in Spanish.
